Why Worry?
We started a new series at church yesterday and it’s quite encouraging. Bottom line, we tend to worry most about those things in our lives that are the points of our greatest devotion. Is life not more than whether or not you get married? I life not more than your health? Is life not more than your job? What’s going to happen with our church’s attendance? What’s going to happen with our church’s financials? It seems we often forget to trust God when we’re so devoted to these things.
“We can probably all agree that worrying is a waste of time. In fact, worrying can actually shorten your life. The challenge lies in placing our full confidence in God as we try to do all that we can do. When it comes to the things that we value most in life, our points of greatest devotion, we can choose to either worry or trust God. That isn’t always an easy choice. So as a reminder, find time each day this week to read Matthew 6:24-34.”
Hopefully this link will work… If not, I’ll get the video from church this week and put it up here. This is a “must watch”… Pop some popcorn and spend the 30 minutes watching this. Seriously, it’ll really impact you, especially with all that we have going on these days! This couldn’t come at a better time!
